Tita Amel (center) and daughter Amihan (far right) with MULAT members take time off from rehearsal of puppet
play "Dalawang Bayani" (Two Heroes) by Tita Amel. The play won a First Prize Award in the prestigious
annual Carlos Palanca Literary Award Competition. It is
about two Philippine National Heroes, the scientist-novelist Dr. Jose Rizal and the revolutionary leader Andres
Bonifacio.

Teatrong Mulat needs your help. In 1999, the Philippine Government kindly granted us US $160,000 to construct
our new Children's Puppet theater in Diliman, Quezon City. However--- the grant was only for the contruction
of the theater and not for any equipment for the theater. We must raise funds for that ourselves.
Will you help the children of the Philippines understand themselves through their own culture? If you are living
in the states or anywhere else in the world, wouldn't it be great to have a special place to go with your children
when you visit the Philippines?
Sponsorship levels are as follows (amounts are in USD$)
$25 to $49 -- Lamok (Mosquito)
$50 to $100 -- Ibon (Bird)
$100 to $500 -- Pagong (Turtle)
$500 to $1,000 -- Ministro (Minister)
$1,000 or more -- Hari (King)
